Read MoreDear Notebook: For 365 Days blog I am doing the flower of the month. Buying the flowers and then photographing them for each month. This is a small bounty of rain ridden flowers I got from the local store for the project. Primroses and Violets. There are a few browned leaves already on them. I like that nature gives the whole circle. There is beauty in it all.
Dear Notebook, Today I started to take photos of the flowers bought yesterday for February's posts on 365. I think It was a successful shoot and will have enough time to get some backgrounds in. I get lost in timing and so the day goes by fast. I used the Canon 5D Mark III with Canon 100mm Macro lens for today's fun and next will be with the Lensbaby. We shall see how that goes.
Dear Notebook, Peter's 4th Birthday. I am going through old photo slides and getting ready to upload more to the family ancestry album. Here to share is a photo slide of my brother Peter's 4th birthday in 1956. My mother in the yellow, me in the blue dress, Peter next to me and my Grandmother Short in the far right wearing the beautiful necklace. My Aunt Betty on the far left holding my cousin Melinda. I think cousin George is the blonde and the Keliegh boys thereafter. I am surprised that the slides lasted. In fact, I think when I have time, if I do, I can clean them up to look better. Fun stuff after all these years.
Dear Notebook: Let there be music. I was lousy at the guitar. I liked the drums but never was good at that either. At my age, it is time to sell. On Craigs List and Facebook Marketplace is the guitar I bought at a fundraiser. It is signed by Steve Stevens the guitar player for the Billy Idol band. I am letting loose with it since buying it in 2006ish. Tis better for me to be a fan...
